Elm and Beech Penny Seat Windsor Chair C.1890

Late 19th Century 'penny' style beech and elm country Windsor chair with a nicely shaped top rail, spindle back and scrolling arms supported by turned spindles. It stands on turned legs joined by an "H" stretcher and features a generous, round elm seat with excellent figuring. In very good condition, with nice colour and a warm wax finish.
