A well-proportioned Australian colonial chest of drawers in kauri pine, dating to Circa 1900. Fitted with two short drawers over three long graduated drawers, each retaining its original turned timber knobs. The case has a moulded top edge with neatly canted front corners, standing on turned feet. All five drawers are dovetailed and slide smoothly with. Slightly narrower in width than most examples of this form, making it a practical fit for smaller bedrooms or hallways where a full-width Victorian chest won't sit comfortably. Presents in nice, clean condition throughout, with the honey tones and grain figure typical of well-aged kauri pine.
