European Oak Tavern or Kitchen Table C.1800

An interesting Oak tavern or kitchen table with a three plank over-sailing top, a large, deep central drawer, turned legs and a fabulously time worn box stretcher. I’m unsure of its history, though suspect it may have originated in the French or Swiss Alps. There is some evidence of worm in the toes (now long gone) and an old repair to the stretcher, but it is in good condition, with wear in all the right places. Most recently it has been used as a desk, though would also work well as a kitchen, sofa or entrance table.
